Comfort Inn

Best value in all of Gander, when staying in Gander, Newfoundland!!! The staff are wonderful, especially Wayne, front desk! The hotel was clean, the room was large and the comfortable king size mattress. The room was super quiet (204) and comes with darkening curtains!! Best sleep, we had, in days!!! The morning breakfast was great, hot, along with your usual cold cereals, etc. Highly recommend to everyone!!!! Way better value than the Holiday Inn Express outside St. John’s International Airport, along with their high price.

No frills hotel, but fully equipped (bonus for the laundromat). Only remark we had: the breakfast has no healthy options except an apple.

I had an issue that the front desk was able to fix. Late at night I had to change hotels. The front desk was understanding and gave me toiletries due to not having luggage. I needed my cash for a bus ride so was unable to leave a tip. I hope this shows but a fraction of my gratitude. I've been to other comfort inns. All very nice. I will remember.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn twice on our recent road trip in Newfoundland. It was the perfect central location for our route north and west. Of all the places we stayed over our 2 weeks in Newfoundland, we had the absolute best sleeps here. The king size beds, well air conditioned rooms, dark curtains and soft sheets all facilitated an excellent night sleep. Rooms were large and comfortable. Access to a washer/dryer in the basement was a perk - helped with mid trip laundry, without the inconvenience of finding a laundromat. There are lots of resraurants and sites to see, all within a 5 min drive. Location of the hotel right on the highway is super convenient. Staff were really welcoming at the check in desk and rooms and common areas were super clean. A free breakfast was a perk. It was simple, but there were a fair number of choices. I enjoyed the fresh bread from the gander bread box - perfect for me - while my husband enjoyed making his own waffles. We felt Comfort Inn was a great value for what we needed and would definitely recommend it and stay here again.

The best and friendliest hotel staff I've met maybe ever. I don't normally leave reviews but I felt compelled to buy the excellent stay and service we received this weekend. Wayne, thank you for being so friendly and welcoming and really going out of your way to make sure that our stay was perfect! On top of that, the complimentary breakfast was way better than we were expecting and we left full of food and coffee. Couldn't ask for more than that! Thanks again!

Fabulous people on the front desk and breakfast service The best nights stay we've had in our month long road trip. Everything you'd want in a hotel, clean rooms, ample parking, great location, just the best, Very Highly recommended!

It was our stop between St.John's and Twillingate. It was super clean, comfortable and quiet. You can tell how thoughtful this family-owned hotel is, free coffee/tea in the lobby 24/7 and disposable cups in the rooms exceeds a lot of big hotels I have stayed in. The free breakfast downstairs has very yummy blueberry pancakes and fresh eggs/meat. The staff maintains a very clean environment constantly. I would strongly recommend this place and support local! Thank you for the amazing stay :)

Stayed here for 1 night while driving across Newfoundland; No complaints. The staff was friendly and answered all of my questions I had upon arrival. The room was well equipped and they had complimentary coffee and water available in the lobby. The breakfast was filling and the price was reasonable compared to the other locations around. It was a pleasant 1 night stay.

We had a great stay. The people working there really care about their guests. We wrote to them in advance because we were travelling with a baby and they made sure we had a quiet room with plenty of space to put the baby crib we bought. The room with a king bed we had was perfect for us.
